Bank holiday it was off to Sandbanks for Jacqui and Garfield’s wedding and the Harbor Heights Hotel.  The girls had a busy morning at the hotel enjoying things like hair and make up, shoes and dresses.  After a few shots of the Beautiful bride and her gorgeous maids getting ready I headed over to Winton to the Methodist church. A beautiful church with some amazing stained glass was the perfect backdrop for this special day.

After the ceremony we headed back to the Harbor Heights for plenty of food and merriment. It was moving to hear so many kind words and well wishes for the happy couple spoken by almost all of the wedding guests during the speeches. Before the evening party got into full swing we took a few moments out of a hectic, fun day and did some shots of Jacqui and Garfield in their bridal suite.

Sincerest congratulations to the happy couple and we have to thank them for bringing back the amazing weather we’ve been experiencing lately from their honeymoon in Jamaica!

The 15th of May provided a beautiful spring day perfect for Natalie and Nate’s wedding.  After a short and emotional ceremony at Bournemouth Town Hall & With Natalie and Nate officially Mr & Mrs Hylton, all their guests were on their way to the Gardens at the Russel Cotes Museum for some sunshine and photo’s. The wedding guests then made their way to the Marriott for the reception whilst Natalie, Nate and myself headed down to Bournemouth sea front to capture some fun images of the couple. Thanks to Natalie’s previous negotiating skills with the carousel owner we were allowed a few minutes to capture some shots on horse back!

I just had time to capture some candid shots of the guests before they sat down for the wedding breakfast and Natalie and Nate left the next day for another celebration in Natalie’s home land of Ukraine.

Congratulations to a lovely couple!

I met up with Alice and Andy for their pre-wedding shoot at their home in Cranbourne.  It was a temperamental day weather wise (we got a little bit wet!) but they were complete stars and we had a good laugh whilst taking some beautiful shots at some amazing places around the village.  The colours of the fields made for a special backdrop to some of Alice and Andy’s favourite shots.

With the Wedding day creeping up in August I can’t wait to capture more special moments with a special couple.

Back in April I was approached by one of Britain’s top female squash players, Victoria Simmonds to shoot a promotional portfolio for her sponsors. When we began the shoot at The West Hants’ Club, Vicky and her coach asked how brave I was, I quickly found myself lying on the floor at the back of the court, being pelted by the occasional stray ball! The shoot was two hours of brilliant fun and we got some real action shots from the court. Check back soon for some more of Vicky’s off court, studio shoot.

If you are looking for your Wedding Photographer or someone to capture your family in a beautiful, modern way, you may want to know a bit more about me!

Aimee Hurst: Owner/Photographer/Expert tea drinker

Right now, I can be found in my Bournemouth studio devoting my energy and passion into Wedding and Portrait Photography.  My artistic and photo-journalistic style can be seen in several publications, including ‘DV8 Magazine’ and ‘Dream Weddings Magazine’.  I have a distinctive eye for capturing the moment, and when combined with my innovative design skills, the result is a beautiful one-of-a-kind photo storybook that you will treasure forever.
Trained by top Photographer’s in the Wedding Photography field, I have covered an exciting and diverse range of Photography assignments in Bournemouth, Dorset and further a field. In 2008 I received my Diploma in Professional Photography, however I believe it’s the experience gained on the job that best qualifies me to shoot your wedding day.

So why not pop in for a chat and of course a cup of tea and see what we can do for you.

Aimee

Gemma Aiuto: Photographer/Expert chai latte drinker

I was one of those annoying children that always had a camera shoved in someone’s face. Since then my style (you won’t even notice me now!) and techniques have changed dramatically.
However my love of capturing the moment still has a tight grip. To me photography is about seeing that person smile, the twinkle in their eyes, and tears of joy rolling down their face. Capturing those critical moments that you want to remember and share forever.

I am just coming towards the end of a two-year Photography a level course and hope to take my photography to the next level.

It was an unseasonably sunny day for Paul and Cheryl’s wedding up at Burley Manor this month and we even had a visit from the deer! Burley manor is a beautiful venue and I must say a huge thank you to the staff, who are very accommodating.
The day started off with the bride looking radiant as Cheryl and her witness, Dianne enjoyed a bottle of champagne before the ceremony. Downstairs everyone was in high spirits, awaiting the Bride’s entrance.
Paul was as cool as a cucumber as we took some shots of him and his best man in the stunning grounds of Burley Manor.
Finally the ceremony started and the bride entered to the Star Wars theme, much to the amusement of all of the guests! After a rather unusual yet amusing reading and a very emotional song performed by Paul’s goddaughters, we headed outside to take some group shots and were greeted by the Deer, who it appeared wanted to get in on the action!
The rest of the day was equally as special and the festivities continue well on into the evening with Musicology, a superb band keeping everyone on the dance floor! Even Cheryl’s Dad showed us what he had!
Congratulations to Paul and Cheryl – it was a long time coming but I’m sure you’ll agree it was well worth the wait!

When our good friends asked me to photograph their wedding in Thailand it didn’t take a lot of thinking about!

There’s always more emotion when you go to a wedding of someone you know well, and i’ve witnessed the day they got together, the day they moved in next door to us, the day their beautiful baby boy was born and now to witness them tying the knot was something very special.

The wedding took place in a stunning villa on the beach of Koh Samui. As Pat is Australian it was only right that the festivities began with free flowing champagne for the ladies and mojito’s for the manly. The ceremony began as the sun set and Emma walked down the sandy aisle with her Father to meet Pat. After a unique ceremony which included a traditional Thai sand ritual the new Mr & Mrs Doherty enjoyed a stunning Thai banquet and lots of dancing in to the early hours of the morning!

Big congratulations to Pat, Emma and baby Connor – the Doherty’s!

It was an early start for me to travel al the way to Stanton Hall, near Swindon but it was more than worth it! I couldn’t wait to beging shooting Lydia whilst she put the finishing touches to her hair and make up. Being a model, Lydia was more than happy to pose for some more creative shots and we were having a ball doing it!

Up next was Jack who was more than a little excited! Everyone has their own oppinion on who Jack looks like; Some say Jenson Button, some say Prince Harry, we’ll let you mke your own mind up on that one.

After an emotional ceremony and the group shots, Lydia and Jack wanted to make the most of the amazing grounds so off we went to the bridge and the old guards station to capture more intimate moments between the couple.

Congratulations to a perfect pair!

Wow! What a start to the year! The weather fitted the mood for this very special day and was nearly as sultry as the Gorgeous bride. With snow forecast some brides may fear the worst but not Gemma, She took it all in her stride and even prepared for it all with a pair of Wellies! As the dark skies drew closer, the couple exchanged their vows in-front of their family and closest friends at Hinton’s beautiful church. Before the reception began we whisked the happy couple away to the beach for the special shots they wanted. Despite the temperature being – 4 they were more than happy to spend some time together, enjoying a bottle of champagne. Alun even swung his new wife on for a piggyback! The snow held off just long enough for us to get back to the cosy log fires of the private house for the reception!

Where do you start!?
The saying “once in a lifetime” must have been written for Wedding Photography! You only have one chance to get it right, that means picking a Wedding Photographer you can trust and you feel comfortable in front of. Good Wedding Photographer’s are always in high demand and get booked up for popular dates up to 2 years in advance.
It may be tempting to ask ‘Uncle Burt’ with his posh camera to do it and save your selves a few pounds but think very carefully; Wedding Photography is a specialised skill. It takes years of hard work and training to be able to spot the best moments and then to be able to capture the image correctly.
Wedding Photography is as much about the personality as it is the skills. if you like your Photographer and feel comfortable and relaxed around them then your photos will look natural and relaxed, however if you want to run every time you see them in front of you, this could make for disastrous results.

If you are looking for a wedding Photographer in Bournemouth, Dorset or Hampshire , why not contact us now to see how we will make your day extra special.
