Q. How do we choose the right photographer for us?
A. It is important that you meet with your prospective photographer to ensure that you have a good rapport. This is vital for the big day as it will influence how you feel in front of the camera and ultimately how your photos will look!
Q. Do you photograph Civil partnerships?
A. Yes. I am more than happy to photograph your partnership.
Q. How do we book you?
A. Please call us on 01202 552116 or 07970349105 to confirm your date is still available and we will take it from there. Alternatively you can email us at info@aimeehurstphotography.com.
Q. Do you photograph other events?
A. Yes. I am available to photograph weddings, christenings, sweet 16′s, engagement party’s, anniversary’s and many other social events.
Q. Can we meet you before the wedding?
A. Absolutely! I believe it is essential that we meet before you even pay your deposit! Also some clients like to meet near the time of the wedding to ‘walk through’ the venue and talk over the running of the day. I am more than happy to meet as often as you like.
Q. How much do you charge?
A. All prices are outlined on our packages page on this website. Please click here to view.
Q. What happens at the initial meeting?
A. We will arrange a time convenient to you to visit the studio and view my work. We will have a chat about the style of your wedding and how our style of photography will fit in.
I don’t believe in pressure selling so I will invite you to take away a copy of the contract and allow you to discuss it between yourselves. If you choose to go ahead with your booking, you simply sign the contract and post it back to us with a deposit of £100.
Q. Can you digitally retouch my photos?
A. I want you to be pleased with every element of your photos, that’s why I offer digital retouching as part of our photography services. We want your photos to fully represent your day as it was, therefore I don’t change any ‘major’ parts – just simply tidy it up!
Q. Can we have a colour photo converted into black and white?
A. Certainly. All of your photos can be printed in colour or black and white. I can suggest which ones look best in each format but ultimately it is completely up to you.
Q. How does booking and payment work?
A. A deposit of £100 is required on booking paid by cash or cheque to secure your date. The remaining balance is required 2 weeks prior to the day of the event.
Q. Why hire a professional photographer?
A. If you have a strict budget for your wedding and are wondering if it is worth paying out for a professional photographer, remember that you can not ever recreate the day. People who rely on their friends and family’s photos are more often than not bitterly disappointed as they will have missed key moments and the images unfortunately won’t be of a high quality to reproduce or put in an album.
A lot of people wonder why photography is expensive. There is a lot more to your photos than you realise. Most people only think about the coverage of the day however most of our time goes in to the post production of your images. We spend a lot of time after the wedding editing your shots and ensuring that they are the highest quality possible.
Q. What equipment do you use?
A. I use professional Canon digital equipment. I always carry backup equipment for peace of mind.
Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Yes. I can provide insurance certificates if your venue requires it.
